Day 1
How to Calm Your Mind When Everything Feels Urgent
Reflection
When life has required constant responsibility, the mind can remain in a state of urgency even after the situation has changed.
Leaders and caregivers often stay alert long after the crisis has passed. Today we begin by reminding your body that it is safe to slow down again.
Practice
A gentle practice
- 1.Gently look around you. Name 3 things you can see.
- 2.Let your eyes remind your body: I am here now.
- 3.Whisper or say softly: “I am safe. All is well now.”
- 4.Inhale slowly through your nose. Exhale gently through your mouth.
- 5.Repeat the breath three times, each time saying: “I am safe. All is well now.”
Faith Reflection
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God."
